Helpful tips to make the Home Show a successful shopping experience for you
- Make a list of the projects or products that you are interested in for your home or garden.
- Pick up the Show Program at the gated entrance. The vendor directory will help you narrow down the exhibitors that will be the most important to you.
- Attend a FREE seminars. Take advantage of the free education and tips you can receive provided by people who know how to design, build, maintain or fix just that thing you want to tackle.
- Don’t be afraid to talk to exhibitors about your project needs.
- Bring any important information about your projects with you, like plans, measurements, small samples or sketches.
- Wear comfortable shoes, and plan on spending the whole day.
- There are NO wheelchair or stroller rentals, please plan accordingly.
- Absolutely NO pets will be allowed. Service animals ONLY.
Home Show Screens Exhibitors
The Maricopa County Home Shows pre-screens all of our home improvement vendors through the AZ Registrar of Contractors to make sure that they are in good standing and are using good business practices. Before hiring any contractor, it is very important to know who you are doing business with. Look up your preferred contractor’s history, standing and code information at http://www.azroc.gov/

10 Tips on Hiring a Contractor
- Only hire a licensed contractor: Interview and hire only State licensed contractors. Check a contractor’s license number online at www.azroc.gov or by calling 602-542-1525. Remember to check the license status again on the day you are scheduled to sign the contract even if you did so earlier. License status can change over night.
- Get Bids: Get at least three bids from licensed contractors. These contractors should be licensed to perform the specific trades related to your project.
- Licensed Subcontractors: Obtain a list of all sub-contractors that will be used on your project. Make sure these contractors are properly licensed.
- Everything in Writing: Make sure all agreements are in writing including changes made to the original agreement.
- Get & Verify References: Obtain three references of recent jobs from each bidder. Review their past work in person.
- Detailed Records: Keep a file of all papers relating to the project including a payment receipt file.
- Workers’ Compensation: Confirm that all contractors used on your project has workers’ compensation insurance for employees.
- Payments Schedule: Add a payment schedule based on work completed to your agreement. Don’t make payments ahead of schedule or before work is completed according to your agreement.
- Never Pay in Cash: Be cautious if asked to make a large down payment or to pay in full prior to the commencement of the project. Do not pay the contractor in cash.
- Final Inspection: Don’t make the final payment (exception – pool contracts) until you’re satisfied with the work performed.

Monthly Memberships
Dance Starz offers monthly membership programs for individuals who prefer to be in a group setting. We have 2 programs two choose from:
- Progressive Group Lessons will focus on a single style of dance over a 4 – 8 week period with each lesson reviewing and building on the previous lesson to create a simple but learnable social routine Fitness Group Lesson include zumba, yoga, and more.
- When you buy the monthly membership, you are not limited to choose which group lesson category you would like to attend, you can attend them all for the same price each! With 80+ classes a month, this is an excellent, cost effective way to start you on your dancing path.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
You want every detail of your wedding to be perfect, so why not make your first dance as husband and wife memorable? Our expert instructors have been teaching couples to dance for their weddings for over 25 years. Whether it is your First Dance, the Father/Daughter Dance or the Mother/Son Dance, our wedding dance lessons will make this aspect of your wedding planning something fun you can do together. And dancing together will be something you can enjoy together for the rest of your lives! Everyone would love to know how to dance, but most people are afraid of looking awkward. If you have chosen music for your first dance, you can bring your music to a private lesson. Most couples choose to take several private lessons to learn a customized dance routine to their music.
