“Any Size” refers to any size single hung or single sliding window our manufacturer will construct. Currently this minimum width and height for single hung is 10 1/2″ x 24″ and a maximum of 48″ x 78″ and for single slider is 20 1/2″ x 10 1/2″ and a maximum of 72″ x 72″. “Installed” a standard installation into an existing opening.
Who manufactures Window World’s windows?
The windows are manufactured by Associated Materials Incorporated (AMI). AMI was founded in 1947 and is one of the largest replacement window manufacturer in the world.
Where are the windows manufactured?
AMI’s plant is located in Yuma, Arizona.
Payment Methods / Financing?
Window World prefers payment by check, however major credit cards are also accepted. Various Financing programs are also available
Will the windows be installed from the outside or inside?
The majority of our windows are installed from the outside. In certain situations, we may be required to install from the inside.
Do you install windows during the summer? If so, will I lose a lot of air at the time of installation?
Window World installs windows year round. A standard installation will take only one day. Our installers install one window and at a time and are trained to close any doors to the room they are working in to minimize air loss. The energy savings from the new windows will recover any additional costs incurred within a few days.
How do I prepare my house for installation?
Please remove your curtains, blinds, and/or window treatments. Security devices should also be removed or deactivated by your security company. Please provide the installer with a clear path to the window by moving any personal items or furniture that is in front of the windows. It is also advisable to remove all wall decorations from the walls close to the windows.
How long will it take for my windows to arrive? How much time should I allow for the installation?
Your windows will be installed within 4-8 weeks from the date of the final measurement. The installation time varies based on the type of window being installed and the type being removed. Normally it takes about 30 minutes per window. Trims and other work will require additional time to complete. A job is typically completed in a single day.
What warranty is available with the windows?
All our windows come with a lifetime warranty. However a double lifetime (transferable), lifetime glass breakage, lifetime seal failure, and installation warranties are available. Contact us for more details.
What happens to my old windows and screens?
We generally remove all debris from your property and dispose of it. If you would like to keep your old windows or sun screens, please notify the installer as soon as he arrives for your installation.
What do I do if I have a problem with the windows?
We highly recommend that you go to our “SERVICE/WARRANTY” section of this website. Most of the problems are easily corrected and do not indicate that there is a problem with your window. The website contains a number of simple solutions and videos to help you correct most of these problems. It also provides you with instruction on how to care for your windows.
